Description: An old CDV photo of a nice couple dressed for the photographer taken in the 1860s. Subjects are unidentified. This photo has a tax stamp affixed at the back and can be dated from August 1864 to August 1866. Photographers were required to attach the stamps on the back of specific types of photographs to help raise funds for the Civil War. This photo is in good condition with edge and corner wear, staining, toning and soiling from age, handling and storage not uncommon for photos over a hundred years old.
