A WONDERFUL AND RARE PAIR OF ANTIQUE CHERUB ANGELS PROBABLY SITZENDORF OLD DRESDEN GERMANY WITH BEAUTIFUL FLORAL BASKETS DATING TO C1870.

This is a wonderful pair of early antique cherubs with baskets. The work is superb! I believe they are Sitzendorf, Old Dresden, from Germany although they may be by another maker. The condition of the blue based angel is wonderful. There are some minor chips off of the flowers - please see the photos. The pink based angel has a broken wing which has been repaired although not very well. This repair has then broken off and is included - please see the photos. This also has minor chipping of the flowers and it appears that the flower that was in the hand has broken off. The cherubs come from a superb collection of early cherubs angels and animal porcelains which we will be listing. This is one of the finest collections! The cherubs are 6 1/2 inches (17 cm) tall. The base is 4 inches (10.5 cm) long. They have a cross mark on the base. Treat yourself or a loved one to a true treasure they will love forever!
