ANTIQUE CHINESE ARMORIAL EXPORT WARE PORCELAIN TEA CADDY Description

This is a fine quality Chinese Qing export ware porcelain tea caddy. The top part decorated in under-glaze blue with moth to either shoulder. Over-glaze hand painting to front and back with armorial of a hand clasping a spur and with a banner with motto \"Forget Not\". The sides with famille rose decoration.

This dates mid-late 18th century, circa 1770.

The body of the pot is in good condition but it is minus it\'s lid. There is a shallow chip to one side and a couple of small hairline cracks to the neck/collar. Some rubbing to the decoration- see photos or ask questions.

Approx 4.3/8in high (11cm), 3.3/8in wide (8.5cm), 1.1/2in deep (4cm).
