This is a beautiful hand carved Rosewood telephone. The phone does work but has a few imperfections which I will describe. I am not an expert on this piece - I will try to describe it as correctly as possible. The carving on this beautiful piece has birds, deer and leaves carved into the telephone.This phone was purchased in China may years ago.

There are several small buttons on the phone, including a \"Redial\" button, which does work. There are other tiny buttons, but I do not know what they are for, or what they do.

There is also a tiny light near the dialpad, which lights up when a call is coming in. The phone has a strong ring tone.

When making a call, two red lights come on, as shown in one of the photographs. There is a display that shows the number you have punched in to call.

There are couple of tiny pieces of wood that had been broken off - they are shown in the picture. This phone is solid and in very good condition overall. These pieces will be included in box shipped to the winning buyer. 

I did a Google search on this item and could only find one like it, and it was $3800, this is a great buy for any collector
