A very large and impressive shall cameo surrounded by a piercedwhite gold frame. The cameo is very well sculpted and the artist took advantageof the natural coloration of the shell to accentuate his design in the hair anddress. It has very fine detail and a remarkable large size of 2-1/4 by 1-3/4inches. The frame is made of solid gold in an unusual filigree type design. Ihave never seen a frame quite like this. The closure is very early safety type,marked 14k. It can also be worn as a pendent. It weighs 14.1 grams.

It is in excellent condition. This is a very elegant,antique, statement piece.
