A wonderful antique English, genuine 17th century Stuart Crystal mourning slide. Made from solid 22 carat gold (tests), it has sawtooth edging and is set with a superb handstar-faceted natural rock crystalover a hair display topped with the initials \'ST\' in ornate gold wirework. To the back are its original collar slidebrackets and later added pin fittings. It dates fromthe mid-1600\'sand isinvery good condition overall, its crystal in unusually good condition for its age, and the gold mountwith dents and a small hole to the back. It weighs3.7grams and measures20 x 17 mm. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
