ANTIQUE ENGLISH LATE GEORGIAN GOLD GARNET PEARL HAIR LOCKET PIN c1830 :

An antique English, 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts, possibly heavily gold cased) pin; set with tiny garnets and seed pearls surrounding a little glass locket compartment, currently holding a woven hair memento.

A pretty little mourning pin...collectable & wearable too!

CONDITION: All original andgenerally good. Slight signs of wear and faint denting commensurate with age and use. A few tiny nicks to stones, a few tiny cracks to glass. One tiny garnet missing. Pin fittings old replacements.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1820/30. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:23 x 18mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 2.4grams.
