Up for offer is an antique English Sterling Silver fusee open face pocket watch in decent shape but needs an overhaul. Made in Eastbourne, England. Circa 1882-1883 based on the case hallmarks. The case measures 46.7mm in diameter. The white porcelain is in good shape. The English silver open face case is in decent / good shape. It does have tarnish, but with a good polish, it will look nice. The inner case is stamped (lion)(leopard head)(G) PW O4 Key wind & set. The fusee driven movement is stamped JOHN NIX TERMINUS ROAD EASTBOURNE No. 45504 Still has the movement dust cover. Unfortunately the watch does not run. The balance staff is good, the fuse chain is attached, but when I gave it a few winds, it didn’t run. I’m very sure the watch needs cleaning. Sold as found. SO offer WITH CONFIDENCE.
