ANTIQUE ENGLISH VICTORIAN PERIOD 9K GOLD ENAMEL SWALLOWS & HEART CHARM PIN c1897:

A very attractive antique English, solid 9 carat gold pin; set with two applied gold swallows holding a fine gold chain from their beaks, suspended with a tiny vitreous blue enamelled puffed heart charm.

So pretty, high quality & wonderfully wearable!

CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of enamel surface wear commensurate with age and use. May benefit from a light clean. Heart probably earlier and a later addition.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: English hallmark for Chester 1897. Maker\'s marks rubbed.

DIMENSIONS:41 mm long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 2.2grams.
