Let me start by saying- before I forget...I have the original- working glider portion of this oldie. I took it off to sit on top of my armoire- and most folks want to use these for decor purposes...but- I have the glider it just slips on and is ready to use if you so desire. O.K. now - to the beauty and pure folkart of this piece. I have seen these used hanging over a mantle- sitting center of a long farmhouse table- and around the base of a Christmas tree in magazines and on Pinterest....but, I have never found one or had one until now. It is wonderful. The crazing of the paint- the old carpet bagger\'s heirloom rose fabric- the real horse hair....STUNNING !!!!! THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION- THIS IS A SOLID WOOD- 19TH CENTURY PIECE OF ART. One stirrup missing and normal misc. crazing etc....This horse is large - and I think it is very realistic...measuring 46\" long and 27\" tall.
