ANTIQUE FRENCH 18K GOLD ENAMEL MINIATURE VINAIGRETTE CHARM / PENDANT c1800\'s

A superb qualityantique French, solid18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) miniature vinaigrette charm or small pendant; finely made, with beautiful hand painted vitreous enamel decoration depicting flowers and a winged cherub with butterflies, hand engraved highlights and hinging open to reveal an engraved & pieced grille for a scented sponge.

Wow - a fabulous little item in terrific original condition...immensely collectable!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slightest signs of enamel surface wear and faintest scratching commensurate with age and use - see pictures. Hinge & closure perfect.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: Early 19th Century. French eagle\'s head gold control mark.

DIMENSIONS:22 x 15mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 5.3grams.
