Amazing Huge Antique French Empire or Belgian Large 5 Candle Holder Wall Candelabra Sconce pair in gorgeous, complete, unbroken condition, with the stunning original patina and crystals too!
This beautiful pair of 19th Century candelabras were originally made as candle holders but were electrified many years ago, and remarkably done, with scarce wood collars on the sockets. Very grand in size each measures roughly 18 5/8\" tall at the wall mounting plate and roughly 14\" wide both not including the crystals. These were found while liquidating a truly remarkably wealthy estate in Newport Rhode Island, and were found in a back corner of the enormous attic, untouched possibly for over 50 years!! This large pair of wall candelabras were most likely made in France or Belgium, as the original bulbs found with them were Belgian made and the socket sizes are European rather than a typical American size. These were attained through an estate that included pieces from Colonial Times and some true pieces of American and World History with many museum pieces having been rescued as well. These are the finest candle holders or wall candelabras that you will find anywhere, at any price!! They will simply not last as the finest pieces are quickly snapped up by collectors and museums alike
