ANTIQUE FRENCH HANDPAINTED MULTICOLOR FLORAL PORCELAIN HANDLE:WALKING STICK/CANE:

This is a long wooden walking/hiking stick with a quality French porcelain handle dating from the early 1900s with hand painted multicolored flowers & leaves surrounding the handle. The flowers/leaves are painted on a white background - the remainder of the porcelain is dark cobalt blue.The handle is 6 1/4 inches top to bottom including the gold bands & interesting knotted wooden extension and about 5/8 inches at the widest. The porcelain section itself is 4 inches long. The wooden shaft is hardwood birch (a replacement & not original); this plus the handle/knob is 43 inches long, 5/8 inches in diameter and about 2 inches in circumference and is capped with a black tip protector. The sticks color is medium brown with some black highlights just below the handle and there is a medium gloss finish. The stick is fairly sturdy – but I would use it with care if I were a large/heavy/tall person or in the rugged back-country. The porcelain handle is very slightly off true vertical, probably from prior use.
