We found some beautiful Japanese Dolls at an Antique Doll Estate sale in Pennsylvania. The Geisha Figurines ranged from antique to vintage to modern and the Gorgeous Bride Dolls are mostly modern.

This lovely Antique Japanese doll is a very realistic looking Geisha. Her thoughtful white face is beautifully hand painted and has pretty brown glass eyes accented with thin black painted eyebrows and delicate eyelashes.

With her turned head, she appears to be looking right at you with her wistful gaze. She has lightly blushed pursed lips and an aquiline nose. There is a crack on either side of her neck. Her beautiful jet black stylized hair is pulled back high on her head.Our Geisha wears an exquisitely made handcrafted antique rose colored kimono. This old costume is stylishly completed with a wide red and gold obi highlighted with a large sideways bow in the back.

She has bare feet peeking out beneath her kimono which sweeps across her wooden doll stand.Her neck, head, lower arms and feet are made of a white composition/carved wood possibly covered with a shining white skin lacquer called gofun made from ground oyster shell and glue. Her lovely slender arms, hands and fingers are very realistically designed.She is carrying an old fan. Unfortunately, it has none of its original silk fabric still attached.Some of the material used to make her kimono is in fair to good antique condition with the fading, worn spots and stains that come with age. The hand embroidered part of her costume fabric is in very delicate condition. It is very thin and has many tears and worn places.

There are cracks on both sides of her neck.

This unique old doll came with a red plastic standing lantern. Each side of the lantern has a different pattern. Some of the paper panels on the lamp have torn.SIZE She measures about 16 inches tall with her stand.CONDITION Our lovely Asian Doll is in Good Gently Displayed Antique Condition. Her face is striking and her clothing though very delicate and worn is still amazing! She has some smudges on her face, cracks on either side of her neck and worn spots on her hand and foot. This antique figurine is just delightful and will display beautifully.SHIPPING This doll is large enough to require separate packaging, and so we are not offering combined shipping in this case.

WHY IS THIS INTERESTING? This antique Japanese Geisha is very lovely! She would be a wonderful collector’s item for anyone interested in the Asian culture!

PAYMENT: As required by , we list only PayPal as a means of payment.SHIPPING: We are usually able to ship within 1 to 3 days of payment verification. We ship through the United States Postal Service, and we try to offer our customers the most appropriate postage options for each item. We obtain a tracking number for each mailing.SHIPPING CHARGES: Our basic shipping charge is set to cover postage and shipping materials, plus a small handling charge. We purchase postal.insurance for more expensive items, and requires Signature Confirmation delivery for items costing $250 or more. We add these costs to the total shipping charge for sale items that we think might attract larger offers. If a shipping charge estimate is too high, we refund the appropriate amount to the customer after we have shipped the item and verified the actual cost.

COMBINED SHIPPING: We sometimes specify combined shipping discounts with our listings, but we will offer such discounts in many other cases even when not pre-quoted. Assuming that multiple items can be appropriately shipped in one box, we begin with the charge for the heaviest item and add between $1 and $5 for extra items, depending on weight and additional packing material needed. The added charge could be more for unusually heavy or large items. International customers: With so many different postal rates, we cannot quote discounts ahead of time, but we do apply the appropriate discount at the time of the invoice.INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: offerding from international customers is welcome! We accept PayPal payments only from other countries; we do not accept checks or currency. As noted above, we will combine shipping for international customers whenever possible and include the savings in our shipping charge on the invoice. Because there are so many different international rates, we cannot quote the combined shipping rates ahead of time. We ship using Priority International Mail through the US Postal Service if a package weighs four pounds or more. When it weighs less, we also offer First Class International as an option. Please be aware that Priority International packages can be tracked while still in the United States, and they can be insured. First Class International cannot be insured, and so the customer assumes a risk for this less expensive choice. Also, please be aware that we do not mark items as \"gifts\" or report lower sales values on customs forms.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer\'s responsibility.
