A VERY GOOD QUALITY PAIR OF PIERCED SOLID SILVER SUGAR TONGS WITH SHELL BOWLS AND ORNATE PIERCED HANDLES. THE END HAS A PERIOD MONGRAM OF THE LTTER W. THE TONGS ARE ONLY MARKED WITH THE LION PASSANT AND THE MAKERS MARK. THE MAKERS MARK IS OBSCURE AND IS POSSIBLY WC OR WG. THE TONGS DATE TO THE 18thC CIRCA 1730.CONDITION: VERY GOOD.MEASUREMENTS: 13.2CM LONG BY 3.4CM WIDE AND 2.5CM DEEP APPROXIMATELY.WEIGHT: 41 GRAMS.PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES OF THESE HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER 18thC SILVER TONGS AS THEY FORM PART OF THE DESCRIPTION.A VERY LOW START WITH !!
