Up for sale is a thrilling antique Halloween postcard. The postcard, with memorable artwork by Ellen H. Clapsaddle, wishes \"A Thrilling Halloween\" to the recipient.The artwork depicts 2 youngsters looking absolutely terrified as they read a book on ghost stories. Perhaps they heard the wind. Perhaps they heard an old floorboard creaking. Or perhaps they heard a ghost or a ghoul or a witch come to snatch them away!! The artwork is priceless.And we can be certain the postcard is authentic antique (and not a modern repro), because it was used postally and bears a Xenia, Ohio postmark, dated (I believe) October 28, 1909.Because it is a 108-year-old, mailed postcard, it does show some signs of age and wear -- corner wear, creasing and light stains.No matter, the card is delightful and holding it makes one wonder about the fun and frights of Halloween 1909.It will be shipped within ONE DAY of cleared payment.
