A gorgeous 19th Century French Sevres or Sevres style inkstand beautifully hand painted with floral medallions bordered by gold highlights and finished with gilded ormolu mounts. The inkwell is removable for easy maintenance. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. There are some minute paint flakes around the rim and minor discoloration to the paint in the center noticeable upon close inspection. The ormolu at the quill holders has darkened in color. Size approx. 9 1/4\" in diameter and approx. 4 3/4\" in height to the top of the finial.
