Up for sale is this GORGEOUS
ANTIQUEimperial RUSSIANTEA GLASS HOLDER and SAUCER- 84 SILVER - HALLMARKED for between 1908-1917 - 100 grams. The old Glass you see pictured will also be included.
  • This lovely RussianTea GlassHolder and Sauceris hallmarked with the 84 Kokoshnik, (Womans Head) facing right.
  • This means it was made between 1908-1917.
  • The 84 is for 875/1000 silver purity (zolotniks).
  • The little triangle next to the woman\'s head is the Greek letter delta, and means the cup and saucer were made in Moscow.
Although it is a little worn, probably from cleaning, you can just make out the makers mark asMK on the side of the Tea Glass Holder (It is possible that it is MH). There is one more possibility for the makers mark and that is it a Mtogether witha back to front capital N, which of course is cyrillic. You can\'t see the makers mark on the bottom of the saucervery well because it is worn. Being on the bottom of the saucer wouldexpose it tomore wear. However as it can be seen to some degreeon the Tea Glass Holderit is possible to interpret it as the same
  • I foundtwo matches for MK - Mikhail Mikhailovich Karpinskii AND Mathias Henrik Kilpeleinen.
  • I also found a match for the mark M together with a back to front N - as I said this would be in Cyrillic - Mikail Lakovlevich Isakov.
  • The closest I found to MH was MH3 in Cyrillic - Maksim Kuzbmin Zolotarev. But there is no 3 in the makers mark.

This of course is just some research you could follow it up it you decide to offer.

  • The height of the cup is 7.5cm (3 inches) to the top of the handle. The width is 7cm or 2 3/4 inches (opening at top is 5cm or 2 inches across)
  • The saucer measures 11.5 cm or 4.5 inches across.
  • Weight is 100 grams
There is surface abrasions on both the cup and the saucer, which would be from cleaning. This is normal in an item such as this. REMEMBER IT IS OVER 100 YEARS OLD.

THIS IS A FANTASTIC ORIGINAL ITEM.

IT IS IN GREAT ANTIQUE CONDITION AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS.
