~Fabulous Antique Shawl~Scarf~Mantilla~Veil~Circa 1800s, a very beautiful large hand made Chantilly lace triangular lace shawl or Mantilla measuring apprx. 102” by 52” at widest part. This shawl has been made with the the finest thread, light in the hand and is quite ethereal. The design is quite beautiful ,with large scale bouquets of elaborate flowers and leaves. The design has ornate scroll work throughout and has a gentle scalloped edges. One could say..poetry in motion as one can only imagine the great skill of the lace maker and of course the designer. In quite amazing condition for its age there are no stains there are some broken brides and a very well done repair (as shown). Measurements- 102\" long and 52\" wide

Vintage clothing is worn/pre-loved and has sometimes been in storage for a number of years. I launder or dry clean some items, but ultimate laundering or dry cleaning, before wearing, is the buyer\'s responsibility. Items are sold \"as is\". I will describe any flaws that I notice. Our merchandise is collectible and is not new and has lived a long and eventful life. We do not launder or dry clean unless stated in listing, and most times have been in storage for many years picking up old age storage oxidation spots. We expect the winning buyer to be prepared to clean or launder items even if item has never been worn or used.Remember antique fabrics most always has some sort of flaw from being around so many years. Every effort has been made to describe our items as accurately as possible including flaws and imperfections to the best of our ability. We mention any marks or stains that are noticed, in the listing. We try to observe and report every defect that we are aware of to the best of our abilities, to give the buyer an accurate description but to mention every single minor blemish is laborious and unnecessary. As condition and description is largely based on personal opinion, we ask that you look at the photos carefully and decide the rating and pattern if applicable of this item for yourself. Antiques in perfect condition are more often than not, reproductions. We never knowingly sell fakes. Circa dates are approximate and not guaranteed, but dated according to some referencing and our experience. Circa means \"about the time\" and usually references a 10 year period.
