DESCRIPTION:

This listing is for a very hard to find scarab bracelet. These fantastic bracelets were produced during the Egyptian revival period in the later 1800\'s The very first Egyptian Revial period was in the late 1700\'s after Napoleon\'s campaigns in Egypt, and resurfaced again several times to date, with the most familiar being the one in the 1920\'s with the discovery of King Tuts tomb. This bracelet dates to the late 1800\'s to very early 1900\'s. It is crafted of solid sterling silver settings that are set with real scarab beetles. They are quite spectacular when viewed in the sunlight as shown in the photos.

MEASUREMENTS:

Measures 7 1/4\" long by a little under 1/2\" wide. The back of the settings are stamped \"sterling.\"

CONDITION:

Amazing overall condition considering the age. I find no damage to the scarabs or the settings. Bracelet retains original safety chain and clasp is snug and secure. There are fine scratches to the silver from age and wear, and have left the original patina on the bracelet.

My work is my passion, as I travel up and down the west coast attending flea markets, antique shows, and shops in search of the finest and most unique items possible.

I often pick up broken or damaged pieces of jewelry along with whatever loose miscellaneous gems I find. I have built a nice collection of little treasures that consists of old pieces of jade, loose cameos and faceted stones, antique and vintage beads, carved coral and turquoise just to name a few. When I have extra time, I like to design new pieces of jewelry using these unique and older findings and put them up for sale for buyers that would like a piece of custom jewelry. The inspiration for my designs comes from all the wonderful pieces of hand-crafted jewelry that have been produced from as early as the Georgian period. Designing offers me an artistic outlet, and all of my pieces are handmade. I do all the fabrication, soldering and stone setting, and most of my pieces are \"one of a kind.\" I work mostly with sterling silver and karat gold, but will occasionally work with gold filled metal. With each piece, I will include a note describing what the piece is composed of and any history or background when possible.
