ANTIQUE MEISSEN ENGLAND BLUE ONION PATTERN LARGE COVERED SERVING BOWL:
$85.00
The blue onion pattern was made by many porcelain factories in England. This piece has a mark of crown and circle with Meissen England. This mark shows in the Flow Blue books with the pattern name and unknown factory. The pattern is Meissen, a take on the famous German maker. This beautiful covered serving bowl has no chips cracks or crazing. You can see a few typical kiln marks in the bottom, see photo. It is 11 x 8 1/2 inches and stands about 5 1/2 inches to top of knob. I have collected all types for years and am starting to downsize this part of my collection. (Even a service for 14 of the more recent Blue Danube which still graces my table). Works with any blue and white scheme, a truly lovely pattern to collect. check my other listings for more antique blue onion and pieces of Blue Danube...This antique bowl is a close match to the Blue Danube, interchangeable.
Note: the brownish color is just refection from my wood cabinets, this bowl and lid are very white!
