WELCOME TO OUR sale! FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION ON THIS PAGE WE HAVE AN ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING. THIS PAINTING WAS PURCHASED IN A BELGIAN MARKET AND SHIPPED TO CANADA. THIS PAINTING HAS TENTATIVELY BEEN DATED TO THE LATE 19th CENTURY, LIKELY 1880 TO 1899.

THE PAINTING IS NAIVE IN STYLE AND THE SUBJECT MATTER INCLUDES A RURAL FARMYARD COMPLETE WITH CHICKENS AND COWS!! WORTH NOTING IS THE DETAIL TO THE SUBJECT MATTER IN THIS PAINTING AS WELL AS THE QUITE EXCEPTIONAL NAIVE TALENT. UNFORTUNATELY THIS PAINTING IS UNSIGNED.

THIS PAINTING IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION GIVEN ITS AGE. THERE IS STILL A HIGH GLOSS TO MOST OF THE PAINTING RESULTING IN BRIGHT, SOLID COLOUR. THERE ARE SOME MINOR SPOTS WHERE THE PAINT HAS DULLED; SEE PHOTO #23 ALONG THE PAINTING\'S EDGE. THERE IS AGE-RELATED CRAZING PRESENT ON THE PAINTING. THE REAR OF THE PAINTING REVEALS TWO SPOTS THAT HAVE BEEN PATCHED. WE HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CAPTURE THESE SPOTS ON THE FRONT OF THE PAINTING IN PHOTOS #21 AND #22, ALTHOUGH IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE ANY REPAIR.

THIS IS ONE OF THE FINEST NAIVE PAINTINGS WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED DURING OUR TIME ON . THIS PAINTING HAS THE ADVANTAGE OF BEING IN VERY GOOD CONDITION COUPLED WITH THE OBVIOUS TALENT OF THE AMATEUR ARTIST!! THIS PAINTING IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF NAIVE/PRIMITIVE FOLK ART AND WOULD BE A WELCOME ADDITION TO COLLECTIONS LARGE OR SMALL!

The item must be sent to us in the same condition that the Buyer received said item. The delivery back to us must include a tracking number for the Buyer\'s protection. We will not refund any delivery costs. The Buyer must contact us via email within 1 day of receiving the damaged item. The Buyer has 7 days in which to return the damaged item to me.
