Antique late 1800\'s/early 1900\'s papier mache doll, with papier mache head, compo/wood? arms and cloth bodyShe measures approx. 12\" tall, has the \"bulging/bug\" blue glass eyes of the early dolls and wears very old clothing and a bonnet; her head is marked with numbers on the back--I don\'t recognize the markShe is in rough condition but intact and has relatively few facial cracks for the age; her hair is patchy and attached and I can feel either the papier mache mold hole or something like that at the top of her head; she has a divet to her lip, cracks near her eyes and one hand appears to have been repaired; she has not been cleaned (but no bad odors, just a light perfume? dryer sheet? smell from the previous owner\'s storage), her clothing is very old, sewn to her and stained; the bonnet is missing ties; when I shook her a little, there was a smattering of saw dust (but not much) so she may have a small leak somewhere, but from what I could see and feel through the clothing her body is still fairly firmly stuffed; her black socks are sewn on as well; her feet feel like cloth through the socks; her shoulder plate is missing a lower section in back--this is not uncommon with old paper mache dolls and is covered by the clothing--see all photos as to her appearance and conditionOver 100 years old and showing her age, she still displays well and has a charming face and her clothing has the awesome aged look of antique textilesThis sweet doll will be very carefully wrapped and packed for shipment and will ship fully insured; she is looking for a home and would be a great addition to any antique dolls collection--Please see all photos for best description of condition and appearance and ask any questions prior to purchase; this doll is pre-owned, pre-loved and and sold \"as is\", all sales are final, no returns/refunds-- thanks for viewing!My shop is smoke-free and dog-friendly, but, my little dog does not play with dolls... :) My items come from many sources, so I can\'t attest to their previous lives/storage histories; as used/pre-owned vintage items, they will by nature show normal age wear & use and are not new and will not look new.
