Here is an antique lacquered Papier Maché pen case (Qalamdan\") from Persia (\"Qajar\") in the late 1800\'s. Lush pattern of detailed florals on black with gold trim. The box slides open toreveal a black interior. Excellent overallcondition, small wear and/or paint loss at edges. See all photos.8-5/8\" x 1-1/2\" on the base. Ends slightly flared and lid is slightly domed.
