This isan antiquepurplevelvet stickpin box lined with cream-colored silk and velvet inside. The inside has a pocket at the bottom for the stickpin points. It has a working mother-of-pearl (MOP), push-button clasp. The silk is stamped \"E. Gundlach & Co. Jewelers, 18-20 State St., Hartford, Conn.\" The box measures 3 1/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches, and is 1 inch high (inside areais 7/8 inch by 2 7/8 inches).Itis in excellent antique condition: the MOP clasp works; the purple velvet is in excellent condition with no wear at all; inside silk top has one spot; and inside velvet has minor spots.
