This is a very early classic urn styled vase by Gorham and was made the 1860\"s, which makes
this piece over 150 years old. It is a wonderful rendition with stylized ram\'s heads and hoofed feet on
a solid base. This piece was made before Gorham started making things exclusively from sterling
silver and this piece is .925and carries the mark that Gorham only used on sterling. It stands 6 1/2\" highand has a monogram, \"U\". Imagine this piece made around the Civil War and the wealth of the person
who could afford such a splendid object. It has a few dings in the urn part of the vase, but is free of bends
or stains. This piece was made by a highly skilled silversmith and is museum quality and is scarce. This is
a truly stunning collector\'s piece from an old family estate.
