Antique Hunting Buttons….

I absolutely adore this very rare set of German hunting buttons – they areso well made.

These six buttons with clips were intended for a waistcoat or shirtand date to around C1900.

The crisp detail in the Boars Head is absolutely fabulous. They are basemetal plated with approx 12ct (tested using an electronic tester) gold backsand rims. The faces are possibly silver or pewter but I do not want to acidtest as this will damage them.

They come in a beautiful large (14cm x 5cm) green leather case from Gebrüder Friedländer,Juwelier des Kaisers West Berlin. These were high class jewellers to the King.

Size: each button is 14mm in diameter.

Condition is superb of both the buttons and case.
