Up for sale is a religious painting on wood panel or Madonna and child after Santi Rafael. The board measures 11\" x 7-13/16\". The board is plywood, which has actually been around since the 1500\'s and was widely used in the 18th and 19th centuries. Possibly hand painted embellishment over an old print on wood. There is some paint loss from the years on the right side of Madonna\'s gown. I coated the painting with Demar varnish to prevent any further loss. It is signed on the bottom right, Raphael in red. There is very light writing in pencil on the back, all I can make out is Madonna Z 1468 $200. Feel free to email me with any questions and thanks for looking.
