SIGNED TO THE EDGE THE MOUNT IS UNMARKED SILVERThis is a delightful hand painted brooch, painting on shell is very difficult only the best painters can achive this sort of results .The detail is so tiny and the way the artist has used the play of light to reflect on the water through the shell is just exquisite.This brooch is unmarked silver mounted but the back is left open which lets the light play through the shell giving it a wonderful quality.
Most are closed in and lose the detail.
