This piece comes from my mom\'s former antique shopI did some research and found that the hallmarks indicate \"sterling silver\", made in Chester, England. I think the date is 1904, but I am not certain.
These chicks were made in various sizes. This one is not the smallest or the largest. It weighs 47.8 grams on my scale. It stands about 2 inches tall. It is my understanding that all the chicks made were weighted so that they stand well.THE RED COLOR ON THE SILVER IN THE PHOTOS MUST BE A REFLECTION OF THE LIGHT AT THE TIME OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS AS THERE IS NO RED ON THE ACTUAL SILVER
