Hand-tinted 8 1/4\" x 6 1/4\" item mounted in 15 3/4\" x 11 1/4\" bronze-finish cast white metal frame ... Image of bearded Union officer with shoulder epaulettes and brass buttons labeled \"855629\" at lower right hand corner ... Floral motif foil matting within \"floral leaf\" scalloped openwork frame ... Officer style \"button\" corner detail with top \"leaf\" flourish at top featuring cavalry \"crossed swords\" and \"7A\" designation ... Glass-paned front, red velour back panel ... Mildly worn frame finish, tintype finely \"crazed\" with minor creasing ... Hanging loops on back. Wonderful condition consideration considering the age of this item.
