ANTIQUE VERY RARE SILVERED IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ORTHODOX RELIQUARY CONTAINER PENDANT(112)
Both sides are engraved, the front is engraved with floral motifs and in the middle there is a Russian Orthodox cross. On the back part is engraved with two Cyrillic monographs (GD / DB) and the cover was written in 1893. Antique \'Reliquary\' amulet in as found condition and still with the earth deposits on it.Inside has been placed a organic material, probably wood, perhaps taken from some holy object such as a saint\'s personal possession;the presence of a relic imbued the container with religious power. In that reason the container is not cleaned from the earth inside as the relique could be still inside.
