This antique black velvet, beaded hat is truly a treasure! It is completely original, the silk lining is completely intact. It was difficult to photograph, it is absolutely beautiful in person. Fully marked on the interior, Paris, 3 Rue Bergere , Henry M Burr and Co., , 490 Washington Steet Boston. The velvet is absolutely divine, they just don\'t make velvet like this anymore, so luxurious to the touch, with such deep rich color. The velvet tie is richly woven into the design on the back, The beading is delicately threaded throughout the velvet strip design on the back........tremendous craftsmanship! The top is accented with beaded velvet pieces that form a type of bow on the top.Measurements are: 7 1/2\" in height , 6\" in width. The original owner must have been very small. It could be used on a large antique french or german doll............stunning! I included pics of it on a large german doll.......the doll is not included in this sale.I am downsizing so my entire collection of antique hats will be listed. These are rare and wonderful. Time for someone else to treasure objects of this lovely period in history.........dates to the late 1800\'s, early 1900\'s.I will ship USPS insured. I package carefully.
