A pair ofantique natural shell earrings, with later screw wires, orb tops and drops decorated with finely engraved and inlaid with gold & silver faced piqué decoration.

Pretty, collectible & wearable too!

CONDITION: Some signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Wires old replacements. Some gold/silver loss to piqué work. Shell layer/surface loss to one drop - see pictures.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1870. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:Drops 48mm long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 7.4grams together.
