Wonderful antique Victorian miniature (possibly intended for a doll or as a tradesman sample) reform corset, which has been produced from cream woolen fabric with no form of boning, The corset fastens to the front via a row of white buttons, and is labeled to the back " Liberty Bodice, Trade Mark, Knitted Fabric". The liberty bodice was produced due to the emancipation of women in the late 19th century, where there was a movement encouraging women to stop wearing bone and tightly lace corset in favor of the more comfortable and less restricting bodices.

SIZE
The corset measures 12cm (4¾") long and 30cm (12") around the waist.
CONDITION
The corset is in a very good condition for age and delicate nature, although there is some light discolouration to one of the shoulder straps. Please refer to the above photographs for details of condition.
