Wonderful English antique Victorian red leather covered sewing case or etui , which been beautifully lined with plive green velvet and tan leather. The case is stamped in gold gilt to the inside with the retailers details "Mappin & Webb, London & Sheffield".The case contains the following sewing tools ~ Mother of pearl button Hook~~Mother of pearl handled stiletto x3~~Mother of pearl handled manicure tool~~Mother of pearl handled perfume bottle cork screw~~Mother of pearl handled crochet hook~
AGELate Victorian, circa 1890
SIZEThe case measures 14cm (5") wide, 13cm (5") deep and 3.5cm (1½") high.
CONDITIONThe tools are all in a very good condition for age, although there is wear to the exterior of the case (especially the edges), with a tear to the leather on the front, and some wear to one corner of the back. Please refer to the above photographs for details of condition.
