Exquisite antique 19th century watercolor portrait miniature of a beautiful lady with a huge black hat with large feather plumes and a lovely white lace blouse. Portrait is signed Dezval. I found another portrait miniature by this artist selling in a Germany sale house. They described it as an antique watercolor on organic material under glass. The beautiful portrait miniature with its intricately engraved gilt bronze frame measures 2 1/4\" in diameter. The painting\'s backing is natural cream leather. Backing shows that the frame and leather backing are all original to the painting. At some time in this painting\'s life, a pin closure has been added to allow the miniature to be worn as a brooch.
