This is a lovely antique Vienna signed porcelain small lidded trinket or ring box which measures 2 1/2 inches x 2 inches x 1 inch deep and it dates to around the 1900\'s. This box has a cobalt blue background with a gilt leaf decoration to the corners and around the top rim. On the top there is a hand painted oval scene of a courting couple in a landscape setting and it is signed by the artist A. Becker. On the base you can see a blue beehive or shield trademark which could possibly be the trademark of Ackermann & Fritze the German porcelain factory which made \"Vienna style\" decorative items around the late 19th - early 20th century - I am sure someone will correct me if this is wrong!. The condition is good with no chips, cracks, damage or restoration to be found and the colours are bright and crisp with no loss or scratches. Please excuse any photo flashes or reflections. For accuracy in my description I will point out that there is some very, very minor loss to the gilding in places but nothing too serious or detracts in any way. This lovely antique Vienna small trinket or ring box, with an attractive courting couple scene on the top and signed A. Becker, would make an ideal gift or a great addition to any collection.
