Here is a very old and very nice example of pottery by the famous Acoma potter, Lucy Lewis. I won\'t take the time to describe Lucy Lewis\'s long and successful career as an Acoma potter, those of you looking at this already know about it. This beautiful piece is big, measuring 5 1/4\" tall by 6 1/2\" wide and is signed on the bottom. In very good condition generally, it has a couple of small chips on the lower half of the pot, none on the lip. The bottom of the pot has old museum wax residue on it, very little. There is a pencil mark on the bottom of the pot, not legible. One firecloud or burn on the top section of the pot about 2\" tall by 1 1/2\" wide, does not interfere with the beauty of the piece. Slight crazing on parts of the finish, not noticable, no cracks anywhere, inside is clean. This is a remarkable pot, it exhibits incredible design and execution and is guaranteed to be authentic.
