This gorgeous and colourful patchwork Bedspread / Quilt has beencompletely hand madeusing a mixture of fabrics all in quite striking colours, and edged in black cotton trim.Most of the fabrics are cotton, and they have been hand stitched together and thenhand quilted top to bottom using several different colours of cotton fabric as the backing material,the topstitching has been completed in a gold thread which really sets off the vibrant colours.
This is a really unique piece of patchwork, its quite old but has been really well looked after,because its been made probably in the Far East its quite difficult to date, but I believeits overforty years old, and it has been stored carefully since it was brought backto England.
Measurements 80\" x 52\" Wide
Shown on top of a standard 4\' 6\" Double Bed
I love this quilt, it is a real statement piece, its is in very good vintage condition,there are a few threads and on the very back some small light marks, but this may bebecause the material had been used before, the front is spotless.
This would look lovely across a bed, sofa, daybed or even as a wall hanging
