Acquired in Germany by a family member during the 1940\'s - 1950\'s
and now offered for the discriminating buyer and connoisseur of fine art:
an antique Volkstedt German Court Nobleman exquisite lace porcelain figurine.
(Ackermann & Fritze - Volkstedt / Thuringia)This elegant Court Nobleman is an aristocratic cavalier in true patrician pose,
wearing a gold-trimmed mauve gray hip length frock coat, floral polka dot waistcoat,
knee-length snug purple breeches, white stockings,
and buckle front dancing shoes.The lace ruffles at his throat and wrists are intact and his fingers are very delineated.He stands approximately 6 1/2\" tall, is in excellent condition,
and is clearly marked on the back of the base with a blue \"F\" under a crown.
(also embossed with the number 1722)He would make a wonderful gift,
or very welcome addition to any antique porcelain figurine collection.
