Antique Weller Louwelsa Vase Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this antique Weller Louwelsa art pottery vase. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This shapely vase is shaded from dark brown to golden brown, and it has underglaze floral decoration on one side. It stands approximately 10 13/16 inches tall, and it has a maximum width of about 4 3/4 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 13.7 ounce. This pot would be a lovely addition to a collection of old American art pottery. Identification
This vase has impressed markings beneath, \"LOUWELSA,\" \"554,\" \"8,\" and \"2.\" To one side, the decorator\'s initials are underglaze painted, \"EA.\" These initials are those of artist Elizabeth Ayers. This pottery vase was made by Weller of Zanesville, Ohio. Condition
The vase looks great overall, with light wear, but no chips or cracks. It has fine, unstained crazing. A few short, scattered scratches here or there do not detract. Please review the photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to offerding or buying. Terms of Sale 1. Sales Tax
Before merchandise is shipped to a California address (or picked up or delivered within California), sales tax will be collected, unless the buyer provides a properly completed and valid California resale certificate form by mail (or in person, in the case of pick up or delivery). The buyer must prepay before merchandise is released. Paypal payments over $250 will only be accepted if delivery is to an address with a confirmed status. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. 3. Shipping and Handling
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller typically ships on Mondays and Thursdays, unless a holiday or special circumstance precludes it. If payment is via Paypal, the merchandise will be shipped on the seller\'s next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier. Economy shipping within the U.S. includes delivery to a physical address via an economy shipping method of the seller\'s choice. At the discretion of the seller, a faster shipping method may be utilized at no additional cost to the buyer. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping and handling costs may be required. For domestic parcels, a signature will be required for delivery if the total Paypal payment for merchandise inside the parcel is greater than $250 (excluding California sales tax). If international shipping is available, this will be indicated on the \"Shipping and Payments\" tab. International shipping is not free for the buyer; shipping costs are not negotiable.
