ANTIQUE c.1900 LOUIS WAIN CATS Framed Pair Small Prints Frame size 24 x 17cm:

These are a pair of antique circa 1900 LOUIS WAIN humorous cat sepia tone prints in an old wood and plaster finished frame, glazed and ready for hanging. It is black with gilt highlighted lines, a bit worn with age.
They prints measure 4\" by 2 3/4\" ( 10cm by 7cm ) and are on an old card backing, the frame measures 9 1/2\" by 6 1/2\" ( 24cm by 16.5cm ).
The titles are \" Here\'s Luck \" and \" When Other Lips \". Louis Wain was a prolific cat artist using his own cats as models.
His wild eyed cats developed over the course of his career until he eventually went mad and ended up in a mental asylum where he continued to paint cats in an increasingly bizarre and manic style.
