DESCRIPTION:

WHAT A WONDERFUL LOOK AND STYLE on this very early antique carved wood figurine. This is at least 150 yrs old, probably a lot earlier. Extremely well done carving out of hardwood of William Tell and son traveling down the road with his archery crossbow over his shoulder. Masterfully carved, this was done by a true artisan. Wonderful wood grain and age patina. Perfect size for display, measures 7 ½” high and base is 3 ¼” x 2 ½”. Has the number 1307 on the front. This piece does have some breaks from age, there is a little piece of the boy’s back leg missing, and part of the man’s right arm and part of what he was carrying is missing, see pics. SELDOM do you find them this early and of such nice quality.
