This is for a fabulous top qualityart deco solid sterling silver cigarette case.It has a lovely vividcobalt blue guilloche enamel finish to the top, base and both sides. Under the hard glass enamel there is a wavy engine turned pattern that catches the light beautifully.The lid has its original silvercrown appliqué. These crowns were often used on high end gifts for the wives ofhigh rankingMilitary personnel and often seen on cases retailed in the 20s by the veryprestigious LondonfirmGieves of Old Bond St. The inside of the case has a rich gilded finish and the silver carries a full set of English sterling import mark for London 1927along with the makers initials C&C for Cohen & Charles and Gieves address. The case and enamel arein excellent condition with no dings ordents and no chips cracks orloss of enamel anywhere and no repairs or restorations, it shows the bare minimum of wear and displays beautifully, it also feels superb in the hand with a lovely weighty feel. Closed it measures 80mm just over 3\" by 50mm (2\") by 10mm deep and it weighs 110.8 grams.
