4 1/4 troy oz - Lovely Design - Birmingham - LOVELY

This is a really stunning VINTAGE ART DECO solid sterling silver sweetmeat dish or bonbon bowlthat was made in Birmingham, England in 1977 by the illustrious silversmiths, A. T. Cannon Limited at their Spencer Street workshops. It is in a lovely circular shape with a high loaded pedestal base and a generous decorated rim. It measures 4 1/4\" in diameter and stands almost 3 3/4\" high. It is rather substantial - it weighs135.4 grams - which iswell over4 1/4troy oz. - but it is loaded. It is NOT engraved.

It is in very good condition for its age with a little less than the usual surface scratching witha fewdingsand dents and little distortion, with NO repairs - see photographs - SUPERB. This beautiful piece is hallmarked with A.T.C, rose, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),C, Elizabeth II duty markshowing that it was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1977. I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. This is a really super quality VINTAGE piece with a fantastic ART DECO design afterover 70years- I\'m afraid that my pictures do not really do it justice!!!
