This is a delightful and very rare VINTAGE solid sterling silver VERY LARGE salver or tray or waiterthat was made by the illustrious silversmiths, S. Blanckensee & Son in Birmingham, England in 1939 at their Great Hampton Street workshops. It isin a lovely ART DECO square shape and has a beautiful decorated rim - raised onfour elegant feet. It isavery largesize. It measures 13 1/2\" in diameter and stands 1 1/2\" high - it isVERY substantial - it weighs1417.4 grams which iswell over45 1/2troy oz. It is NOT engraved.

It is in excellent condition for its age with less than the usual surface scratching and NO dents and NO dingscollected over the last75 years - SUPERB. It still stands level.It is hallmarked with S.B&SLtd, anchor,lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),Pshowing that it was hallmarked inBirmingham in 1939. I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. A lovely and very valuable VINTAGEART DECO VERY LARGE piece in superb condition afterover 75years!!!!!!
