Description

This is a delightful old Art Deco Venetian glass bead necklace with nice LONG graduated millefiori beads. They have an array of many ornate canes and the beads are all hand rolled. The dimensionality created by the artist is quite incredible. I\'ve included close-ups of some of the beads so you can appreciate the scale of the beads and how they look so three dimensional when in actuality they are curved. Each bead is separated by small coordinating yellow glass square bead.

They were made in Venice where the slices of millefiori cane were applied by hand. This gives them their unique individual character with each bead slightly different in design.

The necklace measures a nice 21\". The long beads on either side of the central bead measure just under 1 1/4\". As you can see, all the beads are quite large. It has a fully functional spring ring clasp. The beads are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The only flaw I can see are the normal irregularities to the ends of the beads found in hand rolled beads. Don\'t miss this beautiful necklace for your millefiori collection! Enjoy!
