A range of beautiful collection to come - please do not forget to check our latest is a very elegant and large Art Nouveau Antique French Bronze Vase by renown Parisian artist Henri Honore Plé (1853-1922.) The vase is representing raised figures in a round with nymphs and cherubs on two sides, each image is different from another. Henri Plé was a student of Gerault and Mathurin Moreau. He began exhibiting at the Salon in 1877. He was a member of the prestigious Societe des Artistes Francais. From 1877 until 1900 he actively exhibited and won several medals and prizes including a bronze medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle. He received public and private commissions including one for a City Hall statue in Paris and another in Compiegne. His attention to sculptural detail has long been recognised and is further evidenced in the careful observation of this vase’s composition and gentle expression of nymphs.
