In 1986, AVON introduced their Precious Moments, Hand Painted Porcelain, \"HEAVENLY BLESSINGS NATIVITY SET\".The sweet-featuredfigures are in lovely, soft colors, ranging in Height from 1-3/4\" (sheep) to 3-1/2\" (Caspar).
I purchased the entire 14 piece set Brand New, and opened the boxes for the first time today, to take photos!(Forgot to take a photo of the boxes- contact me if you want to see them, O.K.?) Blue- really pretty!The cost for all 14 pieces was $122.00 plus tax, so this is a really good deal.
Each piece is in perfect condition, with a few things to note:1. All three Kings are present, but for some reason they put both Balthalsar AND Caspar into boxes marked \"Balthalsar\".2. The Wooden Stable did NOT come in a box, but rather was in a plastic bag with smaller boxes nestled inside. (I put it into a new bag now.)3. And this kills me- I opened the \"Holy Family\" box for the FIRST TIME EVER today, and immediately noticed that Joseph\'s staff appears to have been cracked when it was boxed- (at the factory I presume). You have to look closely, but you cansee a line of glue there.
This isn\'t a \'deal-breaker\' since you can\'t see it when he\'s positioned in the stable, but you canimagine how upset I am. If I\'d known this 30 years ago I could have requested a replacement.(I will say this: You could easily touch it up with a bit of pale tan paint or a marker.)
In any case, I\'ve never seen the Complete set offered for sale before, so I hope someone willlove and cherish it- tiny flaw and all! It will be carefully boxed and sent by FEDEX Smart Postto ensure its safe delivery.
